In early December 2023, a special video call took place, connecting us—Carlo, Mil, and our son Mika—from different corners of the world: South Korea, the Netherlands, and Spain. Mika, inspired by his solo travels and the book Rich Dad, Poor Dad, was the driving force behind our shared entrepreneurial vision. This vision ultimately led to the founding of Luxury Living.

Every time we land at Alicante airport or cross the border, it feels like coming home.

The wonderful climate, the delicious cuisine, and the warm hospitality of the locals have always drawn us in. Over four years ago, we fell in love with the Costa Cálida and the charming region around Cartagena. We took the leap and started seeing Spain as more than just a holiday destination. It was the realization of a long-cherished dream: we invested in a home. It was quite an exciting step, especially since it was our first time purchasing a property in a ‘foreign’ country. The journey began with a mix of nerves and excitement, but we felt energized by it—so it had to be the right decision.

This year, we even made the move to live here permanently. We want to share our journey, along with our tips and insights, to support you in your decision and make your transition smoother.
